June 13 - June 15 edition of Planning your Weekend
Now is the summer of our discontent. Our brows bound with victorious wreaths, we raise our stern alarms and prepare to march or stand or rally in the face of despots.
Resistance Summer is full on now. If you face someone inciting you to violence or destruction, sit down. Do not engage. If you face people who appear to be ICE or military, stay back. Do not engage.
It’s all about trying to get us to appear violent. It’s an effort to prove we cannot be peaceful and still resisting. We can. We will.
Bring your signs and your spirit and pass the word on.

Protest Avelo Airlines' Deportation Flights - ONGOING
Sun, Jun 15, 2025 11:00am - 1:00pm | US/Pacific
Avelo Airlines has accepted a $150 million contract to operate deportation flights, aiding in the illegal removal of individuals without their right to a fair hearing or due process. This is not only inhumane but a direct violation of our Constitution.
We’re calling for a full boycott of Avelo Airlines and organizing weekly protests at our local airport.
We will be on the sidewalk leading to the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, which is currently a hub for Avelo's flights. At a time when a maximum number of travelers will see our protest, it is also a good opportunity to protest federal layoffs with the FAA.
You can park nearby or take SMART to get there. No parking on private property, please.
Sign up here.
Have You Made Your Plans? June 14 in every community!
This is a national day of action. Multiple organizations are declaring that this day must not honor the clowns in DC. Join us as we loudly say there are no kings in our country — and we don’t want their clowns, either!
Many people want the biggest mass protest. We want many. Let’s have protests in every community, at every crossroads. Because what’s happening in our country isn’t only affecting cities, and it doesn’t only hurt immigrants. Or the old, or poor. It hurts us all, over and over. One big protest can be stopped; many protests, all over, involving everyone, is a movement.
This is a movement. And we are part of it.
After you show up with your neighbors, remember that our nation recognizes another day of freedom on June 14 — Juneteenth. In Santa Rosa, the Juneteenth celebration will be held at Old Courthouse Square from 10 am to 6 pm. (This is the date that Texas leaders stopped lying to the people they had enslaved, and admitted Texas had lost the Civil War, and they were now free.)
In Santa Rosa - 11a to 1p along Farmer’s Lane. Here’s a color-coded map of where we will be. Most of us will be standing where the map is marked in red. We’ve set aside part of the area (marked in green!) for VETERANS and others who want to stand with the veterans.
Stand with us as we remind our leaders that the US does not have a king! Bring your brightest signs. Our task is to remind all the people driving by that our government is a farce — and we should take that seriously.
Look for the greeters (wearing tall hats) and the peace keepers (wearing orange) who will help you get where you want to be.
