We will see you all April 5, and before and beyond.

We are fortunate to also increase our support to Sonoma county mutual aid groups, especially for at-risk and targeted populations. Times are likely going to get hard for many of our neighbors in the coming months as social services are slashed.

I am confident this is an issue we share.

Right now, we’re struggling with finding language that pleases us, and yet we know this is our goal. We want — no, we need!! A new revolution, one that doesn’t leave everyone (except a few) behind. Residents of these American States have been struggling for years to include more, against strong resistance from those who are already included.

We’re planning another rally (yes, another one) on April 19, the 250th anniversary of the start of the first American Revolution. Let’s get the second Revolution started, and leave no one behind.

Thank you for sounding the call for we the people to practice "corporeal politics." The academy, independent law firms & judges, government workers, and protesters are classic targets in the first stage of authoritarian rule, and we will be lost if we let ourselves be bullied by thugs who are already calling certain protests "terrorism." The increasing number of rallies recently, and the increasing number of people participating in them, is heartening — and we must continue to mobilize!

As Professor Henry Giroux of McMaster University in Canada said in an interview that I cannot recommend highly enough (3/31 Background Briefing with Ian Masters podcast), "...we can have a mass movement that is too powerful to simply put in jail, that is too powerful to shoot, that is too powerful to abduct."

Indeed.

Someone recently asked me what the goal of all these rallies was (we’re trying to have a rally every week) and I said — we want each one to be bigger than the last. We want them to be too big to ignore. So big that attending them is safe.

So big that they hear us.

Thank you for this. We will be at courthouse square on April 5. We are a little disappointed that the press democrat has not been covering many of the demonstrations in the county. What can be done about that?

Make them larger. Make them louder. Do it again. Be less … constrained. Find ways to be react (non-violently but) spontaneously and make things uncomfortable.

Because we are uncomfortable. We must be uncomfortable.
